Lenoir-Rhyne student advocates for Nation of Israel

HICKORY— A spiritual and informative convocation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the “Bears Lair” of the Cromer Center on the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University. The event will be conducted by David F. Bares II, associate minister at Morning Start First Baptist of Hickory, founder and former president of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) on the campus of Catawba Valley Community College and current president of CUFI at Lenoir-Rhyne, and in association with John Hagee Ministries, Cornerstone Baptist Church of San Antonio, Texas and staff.
The subject for discussion will be “Jewish Contributions to/for Humanity” scientifically, medically, technologically and spiritually. Guest speakers will include David E. Roberts II, pastor of Morning Star First Baptist and Rabbi Dennis Jones of Temple Beth Shalom. The purpose of the meeting is to combat antisemitism.
