‘Bye Bye Birdie’
April 3-6
The Lexington Youth Theatre invites you to bring your bobbie socks, saddle shoes and poodle skirts and get ready to scream and shout for their production of “Bye Bye Birdie.”
Written by Michael Stewart, this musical comedy tells the story of fictional rock ‘n roll superstar Conrad Birdie and the problems that arise when his agent comes up with a publicity stunt in which he will kiss one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio on “The Ed Sullivan Show” before being going into the Army.
Performances will be April 3, 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Smith Civic Center, 217 S. Main St. in downtown Lexington.
