CHINA GROVE — The 10:30 a.m. service will ring with Dixieland Jazz music on Sunday at Mt. Barry McGee at Lyerly
ROCKWELL — Christian comedian/musician Barry McGee will appear at Lyerly Evangelical Church, 1320 Crescent Road,at the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday.
Barry has appeared with Lee Greenwood, Ricky Skaggs, Charlie Daniels, and others, and has won numerous awards from gospel music and comedian associations. The event is free, but a love offering will be taken for Agape Ministries.

History program at St. Luke Baptist
St. Luke Baptist Church in Hawkinstown will host a Black History program Sunday during the 11 a.m. service. Members of the youth will present spoken word arrangements of historical figures. The group Triple Threat will present a dance for the occasion.
Minister Latasha Wilks, associate minister at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, is the guest speaker. She holds a B.A. degree from Ashford University and DeVry Institute of Technology.

Annual Crossover Kannapolis
KANNAPOLIS — Seven area churches, predominantly African-American, Hispanic and White, are participating in the 20th annual Crossover Kannapolis service on Sunday at 6 p.m. to celebrate Race Relations Month. A love offering will be taken for Refuge of Hope Soup Kitchen in Kannapolis.
