The teachers were honored at the Feb. 27 Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education meeting by foundation Co-Chairs Jon and Susan Steele.
Foundation members visited the schools to present the grants to the teachers as students enthusiastically joined in the celebration.
To apply for the grants, teachers submitted applications proposing an innovative project. Teachers were awarded grants of varying amounts based on the projects.
Grant-winning teachers include the following people:
• Brooklyn Bushon at China Grove Elementary.
• Joanna Brown at Isenberg Elementary.
• Larry Persinger at Rockwell Elementary.
