Catawba College sophomore Destiny Stone is putting the finishing touches on her second solo album, ‘Journey,’ due to release at the very end of April. The Mississippi native has been a jewel of Catawba’s Artist Development Program shining a much-needed light on the college’s arts program
Stone’s new album will be a compilation of some of her favorite new songs. These new songs were recorded in various locations around Catawba’s campus, as well as in nearby Asheville.
Destiny’s sound is a smooth, soulful combination of Roots-Americana and Gospel, with a sweet touch of the blues. She is currently in the process of fundraising to finance the completion of ‘Journey.’ She will also be adding a new live version of her hit song “Colorblind” on the new album.
