Leave HB2 in place and leave us alone
The NCAA may withhold all athletic events from the state. The reason, HB2. The progressives are pulling out all the stops to pressure the North Carolina legislature to repeal HB2. We read articles daily from the Associated Press in concert with progressive newspaper columnists about how much money the state is losing in revenue.
No one remembers, it seems, that the Charlotte City Council was first to pass an ordinance giving transgender people the right to use bathrooms of their choice. Radio stations have joined in the act, reporting over and over again every hour about how Charlotte and the state are losing so much money.
The question we should be asking is when did the NCAA become so politically progressive that they have taken it upon themselves to try to advance this Democratic progressive agenda? Anyone disagreeing with this political correctness agenda is targeted for destruction economically and politically.
The transgender bathroom issue was not an issue until Charlotte City Council made it one. Charlotte deserves all the credit for this debacle.
Unfortunately, the people of North Carolina cannot be seen or heard on this issue. Those who feel deprived and confused about their identity want to rule the day.
Enough. If someone believes they should be another gender, fine, but don’t make it a political issue. Just leave the rest of us alone, and we will leave you alone. The country has more to worry about than where transgender people relieve themselves.
