GRANITE QUARRY — Emergency personnel responded Sunday night to a two-vehicle accident in Granite Quarry at the intersection of North Main and East Bank streets.

Authorities reported one of the vehicles was overturned with the driver snagged inside by a seatbelt. The Rowan Rescue Squad was not needed for an extraction.

The accident occurred just after 8 p.m. The trapped person was freed from the vehicle by 8:19 p.m. No other details were available.
