For Salisbury and western Rowan County residents, Davie County may be the new destination for federal government frustration.
U.S. Rep. Ted Budd, a Republican who represents the 13th Congressional District, held a ribbon-cutting Thursday to mark the opening of his Davie County district office in Advance.
The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The address is 128 Peachtree Lane, Suite A. The phone number is 336-998-1313.
“Our office is here to ensure that all residents in the district are getting the answers they need from Washington, D.C.,” Budd said in a news release. “Too often, citizens are ignored by bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., and I have assembled a team in our North Carolina office to ensure that doesn’t happen when you contact us.”
Budd’s district includes Davie and Davidson counties, most of Iredell County, and large parts of Rowan and Guilford counties.
In Rowan County, his district includes the Salisbury city limits and western area north of Mooresville Road. His district also includes a small part of Spencer.
