Lutheran Reformation Series session 2: Reformation 500 years 1517-2017

East Rowan Area LCMC/NALC congregations present a series of five worship services concluding in a celebration of the Lutheran Reformation on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Session 2: 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Faith Lutheran Church (NALC); speaker Pr. Carl Haynes on “The Two Kingdoms;”
Session 3: 4 p.m. Sunday, June 25, at Union Lutheran Church (NALC); speaker Pr. D.J. Lura on “Theology of the Cross;”
Session 4: 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Christiana Lutheran Church (NALC); speaker Pr. Carlin Ours on “Impact of Reformation on the World;”
Session 5: Joint Celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation: 4 p.m. Sunday Oct. 29, at Organ Lutheran Church (LCMC/NALC); guest speaker Pr. Mark Ryman.
The first four sessions include a brief evening prayer service, the speaker’s message and refreshments.
The Joint Reformation Sunday event will include a full worship service with The Lord’s Supper, a combined choir from the participating congregations, the evening’s message and refreshments.
A nursery will be available at all services. This is an excellent learning opportunity for anyone, especially confirmation students and new or prospective congregational members.
