All six Rowan  schools made the state baseball playoffs.

First-round games are generally scheduled for Wednesday.

See Scoreboard for all pairings.

West Rowan and Carson got 3A first-round home games. The Falcons will take on Gastonia Forestview, while Carson hosts Waynesville Tuscola.

South Rowan plays at Hickory, and East Rowan goes to North Gaston.

In 2A, Salisbury is at Smoky Mountain at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, and North Rowan is at Mountain Heritage.

In 4A, A.L. Brown is home in the first round against Charlotte Catholic, while  Davie County is at Lake Norman.

Prep softball

West Rowan got a first-round home game and will host North Bumcombe on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Carson, East Rowan and South Rowan made the 3A playoffs and will be on the road in the mountains. Carson is at Tuscola, East is at Pisgah, and South is at  Enka.

A.L. Brown hosts Myers Park tonight at 6:30 p.m. in a first-round 4A game. Central Piedmont Conference  Tournament champ Davie County hosts South Meck.

Prep soccer

Salisbury will be home on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a first-round matchup against Shelby.

South Rowan will be Asheville.

Prep tennis

Salisbury is home today at 4 p.m. for the second round of the dual team state playoffs. The Hornets take on Black Mountain C.C. Owen.

Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart’s girls soccer team rallied to win against Salisbury Academy, 3-2.

Rachel McCullough scored for a 1-0 halftime lead for Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart trailed, 2-1, when  Kyna Zaldivar tied the game with six minutes left. Spencer Hansen assisted on Caroline Cardelle’s game-winning goal.

Sacred Heart hosted the WCCAA Tournament.

Concordia Lutheran shot 171 and won a tiebreaker with Sacred Heart. Salisbury Academy shot 174 for third place. North Hills shot 190 for fifth.

HCS hosted the WCCAA Golf Conference Tournament last Tuesday.  Congratulations to our Dolphins who played very well.

SA’s Charlie Barr shot 38 for medalist honors.

Sacred Heart’s Ben Childress shot 39. Luke Graeber shot 40, and Nick Antosek shot 42.

Intimidators

  The Kannapolis Intimidators lost to Asheville on Monday, 7-5, despite pounding 15 hits and scoring five runs in the third inning.

Jimmy Lambert (4-1) took his first loss for Kannapolis (15-15).

Kannapolis hitters struck out 17 times.

Kannapolis is off tonight.

Hoops camp

A.L. Brown basketball camp, directed by coach Shelwyn Klutz, will have two summer sessions, July 3-5 and July 10-12.

Camp is from 9-1 daily. The cost of  a camp is $65.

Camp is for boys and girls, ages 7-16.
