SALISBURY — Oak Park Retirement will host the All-American Cookout on Monday at the facility, 548 White Oaks Drive.

The book “Young Again” by local author David Freeze will be released during a celebration for military veterans and their families.

Darryl Fisher, president and founder of Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation of Carson City, Nevada, will briefly speak. The foundation travels the country providing free flights in historic World War ll-era biplanes. Flights for pre-approved veterans are planned during the day.

Many of those who flew on Memorial Day last year in Salisbury will be on hand and are included in the book. “Young Again” chronicles various stops for the foundation in cities across the country in 2016.

Neal Wilkinson will sing the national anthem. The Graham Carlton band will provide entertainment during a free cookout from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. A book signing will follow at 6:30 p.m.
