With the 2017 National Basketball Association finals fresh in our minds, Clyde provided this photograph of the 1928 basketball team of Spencer High School. The team had a 15-9 record, according to the back of the photograph, which Clyde purchased at a sale/auction. Standing left to right are Gilmer Robinson, Fred Holt, Heindle Self, Henry Grubb, Herman Long, Thurman Holt, Wilbur Lanning, Paul Swicegood and Coach W.F. Shealy. Everette Grossman is the player sitting. The team portrait was taken by Hitchcock Home Portrait Studio of Lexington.
