- Submitted photo ... The Rowan Little League Softball Senior (13-16) team won the N.C. District 2 championship last weekend, defeating Northwest Forsyth, 16-0. Pitchers Kali Morton and Aubrey Tuell combined on a no-hitter and the offense banged out 14 hits. Next, the team hosts the regionals in Salisbury on July 21-23. There is no state tournament.
