Paul Christopher Norris recently was awarded a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of California, San Diego.
The son of the Rev. and Mrs. Darrell Norris of Salisbury, Paul is a 2004 graduate of East Rowan High School and a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of Catawba College. At Catawba, he majored in chemistry and minored in biology.
During the 2007 summer, he was a National Science Foundation intern at Towson University. He has written and published several journal articles.
Norris has accepted a postdoctoral research fellowship with Dr. Charles Serhan at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, where he will be investigating mechanisms of inflammatory resolution
