Salisbury man charged with second-degree murder turns himself in

SALISBURY — A Salisbury man who turned himself in to police was charged Monday with second-degree murder in the shooting death of an East Spencer man.

Tazman Jamal Stockdale, 27, is charged in the February death of Demario O’Brian Bost, 28, according to a news release from the Salisbury Police Department.

Police officers were called to 312 Oakwood Ave. on Feb. 17 to investigate a disturbance. Bost had been shot and was dead at the scene, the release said.

Stockdale turned himself in at the Police Department after he was told of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

He was held at the Rowan County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
