Levi Maxwell continued his strong pitching and led the Kannapolis Intimidators to a 6-4 victory over Greensboro at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.
Kannapolis (33-27) won its third in a row behind Maxwell (14-5), who allowed five hits in eight innings on Sunday.
Santo Luis picked up his fourth save.
Brent Morel’s two-run homer was the big blow for Kannapolis.
The Intimidators and Grasshoppers play again tonight at FCS.

n Minor leagues
Vancouver’s David Thomas (Catawba) was 3-for-4 with two RBIs in an 8-3 victory against Everett on Saturday. Thomas is batting .277.
n Brad Holt (Albemarle) pitched seven dominant innings for Brooklyn in a no-decision on Friday. Holt, the 33rd pick in the June draft by the New York Mets, fanned 10 while allowing three hits and no earned runs in seven innings. Holt lowered his ERA to 1.75.
n Toledo’s Jeremy Johnson (Mooresville) pitched well on Sunday in a 6-0 loss against Richmond. Johnson (4-3) allowed five hits and one run in five innings and struck out five.
n Brett Bartles (A.L. Brown) drove in a run for Billings in a 13-3 loss against Missoula on Sunday.
Bartles, who hit a home run on is batting .254.
