Labor Day qualifying: Two teams shoot 67 on sunday

The team of Brian Boyle and Dwayne McIntyre teed off Sunday morning at 8:34 a.m., the same time as the team of Corey Basinger and Addison Smith.
They finished with the same score as well.
Both teams shot 67 to lead the final-day qualifying for the Labor Day Four-Ball Memorial Golf Tournament at the Country Club of Salisbury.
They finished two shots ahead of Cole-Buckwell and Kenneth Crouch, who shot 69.
Richard Cobb and Mallory McDaniel, who won last year’s championship flight, will be the No. 1 seed.
John and Johnny Kyger’s 66 on Saturday held up as the top qualifying score. Also, shooting 67 were Keith and Michael Dorsett.
Other contenders for the coveted crown are the teams of Glenn and Roy Dixon, Wally Eidson-Nelson Poole and Dusty Holder-Ryan Honeycutt. Those teams shot 68.

There will be two playoffs today, starting at 5 p.m. Eight teams that shot 70 will play for four spots. They will start on No. 1. There are five teams that shot 86 vying for one spot. They’ll tee off on No. 10.
The tournament will be played next Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A total of 96 teams will participate.

Defending champs Eric Norris and Charlie Andrews will be the top seed in the Senior Division. Sixteen teams are expected to play in the Seniors division.
