Rowan weather: Warm today; wet, chilly rest of week

Today’s going to become mostly sunny and quite warm, then the rest of the week is gray and wet, just like the weekend.

We are under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. this morning. The day will start out cloudy before clearing. The high will be 76, with south southwest wind at 5-9 mph.

Tonight, we have a 20 percent chance of rain before midnight, then after 5 a.m. Fog will return, and the low will be 56, with north northeast wind around 5 mph.

The chance of rain Tuesday will be 60 percent, with showers between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. After 3, thunderstorms are possible. Patchy fog is likely in the morning. It will be cloudy and 65, with east northeast wind around 6 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, except for higher amounts in thunderstorms.

The same chance of rain continues Tuesday night, with showers and thunderstorms before 3 a.m., followed by rain after that. The low will be 47, with northeast wind at 6-8 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

For Wednesday, the chance of rain is 50 percent, starting with showers around 8 a.m., then rain about 9. It will be cloudy and 53, with northeast wind at 6-8 mph.

The rain chance goes back up to 60 percent Wednesday night, with cloudy skies and a low of 44.

Thursday has a 50 percent chance of rain and will be mostly cloudy and 56. The low will be 40, with just a 30 percent chance of showers.

Friday, finally, will be mostly sunny, but still cool, with a high of 59. The low will be 33 under partly cloudy skies.

Saturday, Veterans Day, will be mostly sunny and 52.

But Saturday night brings back a 30 percent chance of showers. It will be mostly cloudy and 37.

Sunday will have a 40 percent chance of showers, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 54.
