Polka Dots hold CD release party

Salisbury’s resident polka band brings its oompah and happy tunes to The Blue Vine 8:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday night as they celebrate the release of their first album.
Band members include Lorna Brown, accordion, Foster Owen, tuba, George Hill, cornet, John Cave, clarinet, Anne Cave, piano, guitar and vocals, and Steve Etters, euphonium.
Their past gigs have included the Waterworks Family Fun Day, Historic Salisbury’s October Tour, the Arc’s Festival of Trees and the Symphony Guild’s Christmas Home Tour. It was recently announced that the Polka Dots will be performing for the next Tosco Music Party in Charlotte Jan. 31.
The Polk Dots CDs will be for sale at The Blue Vine and will also be available at the following businesses: Caniche, Critters, Literary Book Post, Looking Glass Artist Collective shop, Step In Time, and the Waterworks Visual Arts Center gift shop.
There will be no cover charge Saturday night.
