CHARLOTTE ó WBT Holiday on Ice returns to The Green Uptown.
Construction will continue over the next week. The outdoor ice rink is set to open Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. The Green Uptown is at 435 S. Tryon St.
WBT Holiday on Ice will give families a place to spend time together this holiday season, lasting through Jan. 10, 2009. Last year, nearly 20,000 people came to skate. The rink this year will provide skaters almost 5,000 square feet of ice-skating surface. Skating will cost $7 per person and $3 for skate rental. Season passes are also available. Group events for outings, birthday parties, holiday parties or friendly get-togethers may be eligible for discounts.
Hours of operation are Wednesday-Friday, 5-10 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Extended hours begin when most schools let out for the holidays on Dec. 19. Exact hours of operation for each day and other details are available at www.wbtholidayonice.com.
