The 2018 Polar Plunge is fast approaching.

The annual event, which benefits Rowan County Special Olympics, will be held Feb. 10 at Salisbury Elks River Park off Long Ferry Road.

Registration will begin at 11 a.m., along with music, food, door prizes, and a costume contest.

The chilly plunge itself will take place at about 1 p.m.
