Catawba swim teams finished sixth at the three-day SCAD Invite meet, which concluded on Sunday in Savannah, Ga.
Catawba set four school records Sunday morning.
The men’s 200 medley relay team of Mikael Karlsson, Christopher Stolt, Patrik Drakes and Patrick Novak finished third in 1:36.19.
Karlsson’s time of 47.37 in the 100 free set a school mark.
Another school record was posted by Grant Gibson in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.43.
Katie Huff (North Stanly) set a record on the women’s side with a time of 1:08.32 in the 100 breast. She was the lone female to earn a finals spot.
Catawba had 135 swims and posted 54 lifetime bests, 12 school records and swam three NCAA “B” cuts.
On Saturday, the men established school relay records, in the 400 medley and 200 free relays.
The medley team of Karlsson, Drakes, Stolt and Novak finished fifth in a time of 3:35.35. Karlsson led off with a record 54.12 in the 100 back. The same four swam the 200 free in a record time of 1:27.56 and finished fourth.
The other school record to fall also came on the men’s side by Stolt in the 100 fly. The freshman posted a NCAA “B” cut time of 51.59 and finished fourth. Karlsson also went under the “B” cut in his 52.03 swim, touching sixth.
Katie Huff, who swam a PB of 2:31.93 in a prelim, placed sixth in the 200 breast.

Catawba running back Jamelle Cuthbertson and defensive tackle Melquan Fair were two of 18 SAC players named to the all-region team.
– Livingstone hoops
Livingstone’s Brittany Wright is the top offensive rebounder in the CIAA with 5.3 per game. Wright is the league’s No. 2 overall rebounder with 10.4 per game.
Livingstone paces the CIAA in free-throw shooting and is second in scoring defense.
* Livingstone’s men claimed an 85-70 victory over Morris in their most recent action.
Livingstone’s Tayloe Taylor leads the CIAA in assists with 46. He’s committed 23 turnovers in seven games.
– Black Knight Duals
Davie County wrestlers won the Black Knight Duals in Welcome with a 5-0 record.
Carson and A.L. Brown, which wrestled without the school’s football players, went 0-4 in the event.
