Power Curbers honors associates at annual Christmas party
SALISBURY — Power Curbers Companies recently honored associates Fred Bryan and Jennifer
Stirewalt by giving them the 2017 Richard D. Messinger (RDM) Commitment Award.
Winners of this award are nominated and selected by an employee panel.
Annually at its Christmas party, two associates are presented with the RDM award. Named
after the late Richard Messinger, who was chairman of the board of Power Curbers,
those nominated must possess the qualities he exemplified. These include commitment
to customers and peers, having a positive attitude, being a team player, producing
quality work and carrying out the Power Curbers’ mission statement — “Our commitment
shows.”
Bryan, an international sales manager, joined Power Curbers in 2011 and travels around
the world promoting Power Curbers and Power Pavers in more than 90 countries. He and his
wife, Sherry, have a 17-year-old daughter, Bess, and a 12-year-old son, Luke.
Stirewalt, a mechanical designer, began her career in 1995 and was a major contributor
to the recently launched Power Curber 7700, the largest multi-purpose Power Curber
machine to date. She and her husband, Doug, have a 13-year-old son, Phillip, and a 9-year-old daughter, Katie.
Associates recognized for years of service included Rodney Arey, who has served for 15; Steve Kirst, Huitt Corriher and Eddie Graham, who have served for 10; and Derek Hathcock and Brandon Gainey, who have served for five.
