SPENCER — Welcome, Kayleigh.

Kayleigh Anne Resino, the daughter of Heather and John Resino, was born at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday.

You might remember that Heather and her twin sister, Devan Purvis, were in vitro babies born roughly 25 years ago to Neal and Lynne Purvis.

Back when test-tube babies were not exactly the norm.

The Salisbury Post featured the family’s story — and the news of Heather Purvis Resino’s pregnancy —  on Nov. 16.

Kayleigh Anne weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She has hazel eyes and sandy hair.

“Baby and family are doing great and are excited to get home to introduce Kayleigh to their family dog, Bit Bit,” Lynne Purvis wrote in a quick note to the Post.

The family has always considered Devan and Heather, who are technically fraternal twins, as miracle babies. They were born in 1992 after their parents had turned to in vitro fertilization as a last resort.

Heather and John went through a normal conception and pregnancy. Word is a 14-foot-tall stork was waiting for the Resinos at their Spencer home.
