Jerry Wayne Griffith and Nancy Rakes Griffith of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 14, 2018 with their family. They plan a dinner cruise for a later date.
The Griffiths were united in marriage April 14, 1968, at Epworth United Methodist Church in Concord by the Rev. G.H. Allred. Jerry retired as a Sergeant with the North Carolina Department of Correction after 33 years of service. Nancy retired as a branch manager with Bank of America, formerly North Carolina National Bank.
The couple have three children, Cindy Heglar of Concord; Mark Walters and wife Stacie of Salisbury; and Amy Watson and husband Scott of Salisbury. They also have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
