SALISBURY — A number of Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies have been honored after earning law enforcement certifications.

Deputy Brantly Watson was awarded the advanced law enforcement certificate by the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education, Training and Standards Commission.

Brantly received the certification in March. It is based on total of years of service, training and education and is the highest certification available to a North Carolina law enforcement officer.

Deputies Heather Bailey, Adam Lovingood and Justin Miller were awarded the immediate law enforcement certificate by the commission, also in March.

Deputy Travis Z. McDougal was awarded an advanced law enforcement certificate in March. His certification is based on years of service, training and education.
