Eleven small children ran about seven blocks, some dressed with capes, superhero T-shirts and at least one hooded jacket.
Teens With a Mission, a First Presbyterian Church group, plans a mission trip to Mexico this summer to build a home for a family in need.
The Mission Run raised money for the trip.
Both the Half-Mile Super Hero Fun Run and the 5K Walk & Run started and ended at First Presbyterian Church on Fisher Street.
Fun Run participants were encouraged to wear their favorite superhero or character costume.
Participants were entered to win door prizes from local businesses, including gift cards, gift baskets, running gear and more.
