Positives and negatives of growth

As we continue to grow, have 8-9 tables with a more challenging field, we need to follow the rules for speed of play. It is imperative to learn how to pace your play and to NOT discuss hands at the table or argue with partner (and we all hear it happen) until all play is finished in that round. The ACBL deems 7 minutes as plenty of time to finish a board and that is what we are doing. I hate being forced to take a hand away from any player but in the interest of the rest of the players I must. Since I know each one of you and your strengths and failures it is especially hard on me. It is not fair to the 90 percent to be frustrated by the 10 percent. It is also the right of any pair in a late play hand to opt out of that late play. You must not start a new hand with only 6 minutes or less left in the round. And further, it is never appropriate or tolerated in any other game to argue with the director when asked to stop play when asked.

Mack Brown and Marvin Jones had the best N/S score defeating opponents 2HE* 1 trick while Patsy Reynolds and Pat Macon had the best E/W score by bidding and making 2HE.
