SALISBURY — Salisbury Police have identified the passenger killed in a Thursday afternoon two-vehicle collision at the intersection of West Jake Alexander Boulevard and Lincolnton Road as Tabitha Pratt of China Grove.

Pratt, 31, was pinned inside a Chevrolet Blazer and had to be extricated by the Salisbury Fire Department. Pratt was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where she later died. The sport utility vehicle was driven by Lindsay Yost, 26, of Barger Road. Yost was taken to NorthEast Medical Center in Concord with serious injuries. No update was readily available on her current condition.

The Blazer collided with a Dodge Ram driven by Nicholas Barlow, 23, of Salisbury, who was not injured. His passenger, 22-year-old Kylie Kluttz of Salisbury, was also not injured.

Police officials say weather and impairment were not factors in the wreck, but at this time they have not determined what caused the crash. Police continue to investigate the crash, which occurred at 6:30 p.m. at the corners near Walgreens and Burger King.
