SPENCER ó The Blue Ewe Yoga Studio in Spencer is offering an introduction to partner yoga Friday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Valentines of all types are invited to participate in a light-hearted evening of exploring basic yoga breathing techniques (pranayama) and poses (asanas) conducive to joint participation.
Cost of the class is $20 per couple, which includes a glass of bubbly and slice of famously sinful “La Bęte Noir” chocolate cake following the practice. For those who wish to plan an entire evening, Pinocchio’s Restaurant next door to the yoga studio is offering a 15 percent discount coupon for dinner (excluding alcohol).
“Partner yoga offers a new way to experience this ancient practice,” says Anne Waters, yoga instructor at the Blue Ewe. “Although this is a Valentine’s weekend event, the class is suitable for friends as well as couples, and it is designed with people of varying levels of experience in mind.”The Blue Ewe Yoga Studio is located inside the Green Goat Gallery at 516 S. Salisbury Ave.
