Rowan weather: Rain, rain, rain

The rain will become heavier today and Thursday, with a chance of frequent lightning, gusty winds and small hail.
These storms could also “train” or move over the same area for hours, leading to a possibility of excessive rainfall and flash flooding.
The chance of storms and showers today is 80 percent, with patchy fog until at least 11 a.m. A quarter to half inch of rain is expected. The high will be 78 with south wind at 3-6 mph.
Tonight, the chance of rain and storms is 70 percent, with patchy fog forming around 5 a.m. The low will be 66, with south wind at 3-5 mph. Another quarter to half inch of rain is possible.
Thursday has a 90 percent chance of showers in the morning, then showers and storms in the afternoon. The fog will hang around until about 10 a.m. The high will be 77, with east southeast wind at 3-6 mph. Three-quarters to an inch of rain can be expected.
Thursday night’s chance of storms and showers is 80 percent, with a low of 66 and south wind at 5-7 mph. Storms will continue after midnight. A quarter to half inch of rain is possible.
Friday has an 80 percent chance of showers and storms, with a high of 80 and south wind at 6-8 mph. The same chance of rain continues Friday night, with low of 66.
The weekend, too, will be plagued by showers and thunderstorms.
On Saturday, the chance of rain is 70 percent, with storms more likely after 1 p.m. The high will be 78. The low will be 66 again, with a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Sunday will have just a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, mostly in the afternoon. It will be mostly cloudy and 84. Then we get a brief break Sunday night, with a low of 66 again.
Monday, the showers return, with a 40 percent chance of rain. It will be mostly cloudy and 85. The same chance of rain is possible Monday night, with a low of 65.
Tuesday, too, has a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with mostly cloudy skies and a high of 83.
