50th Anniversary of Pilot Club of China Grove-Landis

CHINA GROVE-LANDIS — The Pilot Club of China Grove-Landis celebrated its 50th year of friendship and service to the community on Tuesday, May 15.

Special guests were Sandra Emmons, Past President; Teresa Riddle, Charter Member; Bobbie Suddeth, Past President; Amy Hurst, Pilot Club of Kannapolis;
Martha Safrit, Past President;
Connie Corriher, 50 year Charter Member and Past President of Pilot Club of China Grove-Landis.

Pilot Club members make an impact in community through service, such as providing school supplies to local elementary schools, pick-me-ups for hospice staff, and desserts for local police and firemen. Proceeds from past fund-raising events have been used to give two scholarships to a senior from Jesse Carson High School and a senior from South Rowan High School. The Club is currently using puppets to teach local kindergarten students about brain safety.

The Pilot Club guests included: Charter member Teresa Riddle; Amy Hurst from Pilot Club of Kannapolis; and three Past Presidents, Bobbie Suddeth, Martha Safrit and Sandra Emmons.

Joan Corriher presented charter member and past president Connie Corriher with 50 Year Certificate and Pin from Pilot International.
