Mrs. Margaret Russell Sherrill celebrated her 103rd birthday on Thursday, May 24, 2018.

She was honored with a birthday brunch at the Wooden Spoon Restaurant, Concord Mills, given by her children, Shirley R. Lewis (Amos), Jennie R. Wright (Sylvester, deceased), Judy R. Jordan (Rev. Harold), and John H. Russell Jr. (Valorie).

On Mother’s Day, the family worshipped together at Sandy Ridge A. M. E. Z. Church, Landis, where Margaret is mother-of-the church; she received happy birthday blessings from all in attendance. The family then gathered at her home for an early birthday celebration which included her eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Margaret enjoys attending the Trinity Living Center, Salisbury, and all of their daily activities. She says, “Anyone who does not come here don’t know what they are missing.”
