A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel from my home town in Georgia to East Spencer to assist my daughter with her relocation from Charlotte. In order to get a feel for the city, I contacted your local law enforcement department.

Police Chief Sharon D. Hovis, and the lieutenant gladly took time from their busy schedule to present me with a comprehensive overview of East Spencer. I was very impressed with Hovis’ courtesy, professionalism, deportment and in-depth knowledge of the city as well as the current law enforcement techniques and procedures.

The East Spencer Police Department is truly committed to providing the best public safety for the city. While on routine patrols, Officer Bishop and others made a point to cruise by my daughter’s living quarters to ensure all was going well. The police chief, her staff and duly sworn officers respect and uphold the rights of every citizen in East Spencer.

The residents of East Spencer can be proud and honored to have such a dedicated police force for protection. They are ever-vigilant and go above and beyond what is normally required of them to ensure that each resident and property are protected and all laws/ordinances are equitably enforced.

I am very confident that my daughter is in good hands and will be safe and happy in East Spencer.
