Callen Batts
A son, Callen Michael, was born to Shelly and Charles Batts of Charlotte on Feb. 8, 2009, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces. He has two sisters, Ella, 5, and Brinley, 2. Grandparents are Debbie and Jim Dyer of Salisbury and the late Mike Bingham, Joe Sides of Rockwell, Ada Moose Batts of Troutman, and the late Bernice Batts. Great-grandparents are Lonzo Arey of Salisbury and Brown Sides of Rockwell.

A son, Justin Ray, was born to Crystal Hodgson and Jeremy Lemly of Salisbury on Dec. 27, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces. He has a brother, Ethan Joseph Hodgson, 22 months, and two sisters, Madison Paige Martin, 5, and Payton Alexis Lemly, 5. Grandparents are James and Lisa Hodgson and Bill Lemly, all of Salisbury, and Kathy Brown of East Bend. Great-grandparent is Grace Hodgson of Salisbury.Brooke Connor
A daughter, Brooke Christine, was born to Jeremy and Amanda Meacham Connor of Salisbury on Jan. 3, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Grandparents are Tony Meacham of Wilmington, Debbie Meacham of Davidson and David and Chris Connor of Salisbury. Great-grandparents are Jane Parks, James Overman and Ron and Pansy Sells, all of Salisbury, and Ted and Jean Meacham of Wilmington. Hazel Sells of Salisbury is great-great-grandmother.
