The NHL roundup …NEW YORK ó Sean Avery scored two power-play goals and drew a pair of penalties in his most effective game of the season, leading the New York Rangers to a 4-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.
Nik Antropov also scored a man-advantage goal for the Rangers, who matched their season high with three power-play tallies on nine chances to split the weekend home-and-home series.
Avery staked the Rangers to a 1-0 lead in the first period, stretching his goal streak to three games, and added his second in the third period while New York enjoyed a five-minute power play. Avery has four goals in seven games since rejoining New York.

COLUMBUS, Ohio ó Chris Osgood made 23 saves for his second shutout of the season and 49th of his career, and Detroit became the first team in NHL history to top 100 points in nine straight seasons.
Johan Franzen and Niklas Kronwall each had a goal and an assist, and Marian Hossa and Mikael Samuelsson also scored for Detroit, the NHL leader with 101 points.

PITTSBURGH ó Sergei Gonchar and Chris Kunitz scored 18 seconds apart early in the third period, and Petr Sykora added the winner to help Pittsburgh move ahead of Montreal for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
Kunitz also scored in the first period, and Bill Guerin and Jordan Staal added goals.
