N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will close a small section of Patterson Street to replace the bridge over Grants Creek in China Grove.  

The work will include closing the road for about 90 days, demolishing the bridge, and replacing it with a box culvert.

 The temporary closure is scheduled to begin Monday morning and last through Sept. 25.
