• Program on pending N.C. income tax legislation, today, Blue Bay Restaurant, Statesville Boulevard. 6 p.m. dinner; 7 p.m. program. Hosted by Rowan County Tea Party. The pending legislation is to reduce the cap on personal income taxes from 10 percent to 5.5 percent. The Senate passed the bill in March 2017 and it was sent to the House Finance Committee, where it has been sitting for over a year. The bill would provide for a November referendum on a constitutional  amendment.
