Salisbury Police charge multiple people following warrant roundup

SALISBURY — The Salisbury Police Department charged a number of people Thursday afternoon wanted in connection with multiple felony offenses that occurred over the last several months.
The Salisbury Police Department, with assistance from the SBI, NC Probation and Parole and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a roundup. Those arrested were:
• Jeremiah O’Brien Mason, 16, was arrested at 341 Hollybrook Court, on an outstanding warrant for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. The warrant was issued following the investigation of an incident that occurred at 1614 Standish St. on June 21. Mason was not issued a bond.
• Joshua Dewayne Pruitt, 24, was arrested at 502 N. Shaver St. on an outstanding warrant for robbery with a dangerous weapon. The warrant was issued following the investigation of an incident that occurred at 402 Park Ave. on May 22. Pruitt was not issued a bond.
• David Leon Simpson, 37, who was already being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on unrelated charges, was served with a warrant on Thursday for robbery with a dangerous weapon. The warrant was issued following the investigation of an incident that occurred at 402 Park Ave. on May 22. Pruitt was issued not issued a bond, however, he remains in the jail under a $50,000 secured bond on the other charges.
• Travaree D’Von Miller, 18, was served with a warrant on Thursday for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. The warrant was issued following the investigation of a shooting incident that occurred at 331 Pearl St. on July 10, 2017. Miller was already in the Rowan County jail on charges related to the 2017 murder of Kornell Cook. Miller was issued an additional $75,000 bond, bringing his total bond to just over $1 million.
Police officials say they are still looking for Deviyion Barnhardt, 18, wanted on charges of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and Cameron Jermaine Knox, 28, on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Deviyion Barnhardt and Cameron Knox are asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245. Both of these subjects are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
