Session Two: The Historic City Fire Station: This 1896 brick fire station is an imposing structure just south of the interesection of East Innes and Lee Streets. City Tavern owner Todd Littleton plans to restore the station as an adaptive reuse project and would love to share his vision with you. Is there a fire pole still intact?
Join us to see, 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 26. Registration includes two tickets for craft beer samples.
This is an active construction site and a waiver is required. Wear flat, closed toe shoes. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Trolley rides on Saturdays
Take a ride through Historic Downtown Salisbury and let our narrators guide you by historic sites, film locations, and hear a ghost story or two. Discover shopping, restaurants, theaters and public art. Enjoy learning about the city’s past on an F&M Bank Trolley every Saturday from April through October. This one hour tour begins at 11 a.m. at the Rowan County Visitors Center, 204 E. Innes St.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-10 and free for children under 5, available on the day of the tour or in advance at 704-638-3100.

 

Missy Raines takes the stage at Martha Bassett Show
ELKIN — Seven-time IBMA Bass Player of the Year Missy Raines takes the stage on the next episode of The Martha Bassett Show on July 7 at the Reeves Theater, along with Winston-Salem native Andy Mabe.
