SALISBURY – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close part of Old Mocksville Road next week to install a storm drain pipe under the roadway just north of Salisbury.

Crews will close the road between Seventh Street Extension and East Ridge Road starting at 8 a.m. Monday. It will reopen by 5 p.m. July 13, weather permitting.

Drivers traveling through the area will use Seventh Street Extension, Garrick Road and East Ridge Road to detour around the work in both directions.

Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
