Letter: Thanks to all who made Faith Fourth successful

Another successful Faith Fourth of July Celebration has come and gone. Thousands of people came to Faith to enjoy our six-day festival.
The 4th of July committee is made up with our members from the Faith Jaycees. Civitan, Faith American Legion and Legion Auxiliary. While members of each club work our food booths and drink stands, it takes an enormous amount of volunteers.
We have the East Rowan and Carson booster and band members and Scouts that play a big part of helping us on the day of the Fourth. The Faith boy Scouts clean the park every morning and do a great job earning money to go to Scout Camp.
The Faith Fire Department handles putting up the banners, swags, parking signs and this year put red white and blue light bulbs in the street lights. The 50-by-25-foot flag is also put up by the dept.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Department provides security, and the Rowan County Rescue Squad provides our medical in the park.
All money raised is split between the four clubs and is distributed to many charities. Over 132 charities have benefited, and the food donated on Food Lion night went to Main Street Mission in China Grove.
Our sponsors help us bring you great bands each night for free and without them we couldn’t do it. We thank you for your generous support.
Without the help of all these people, we couldn’t put the event on. So thank you to everyone who helped make it a success. And to all those that attended, we thank you and hope to see you again next year to help us help others for our 73rd year. God bless our Veterans past and present for your sacrifices and service.
