Women’s Day at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian
WOODLEAF — Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, 435 Carson Road, will observe Women’s Day on Sunday during the 11 a.m. service with speaker Kim McCoy, former member of Mt. Vernon and current member of Third Wind Ministry. The 2018 theme for Presbyterian Women is “Women Called to Lead with Love.” A Life Membership pin will be presented to one of the members of the Presbyterian Women’s organization of Mt. Vernon during the service. Lunch will be served by the men of the church following worship. Sarah Sharpe is moderator of Presbyterian Women and Rev. Otto Gaither is the supply pastor.

Homecoming at St. Luke Missionary Baptist
St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming and revival July 22-26. The July 22 11 a.m. speaker will be Rev. Marcus Fairley. The 3 p.m. speaker will be Rev. Eddie Lee, pastor of Saron Missionary Baptist Church in Polkton.

First Calvary Baptist 152nd homecoming
On Sunday First Calvary Baptist Church, 400 S. Long St., will celebrate its 152nd annual homecoming. Host pastor Leamon E. Brown will lead the 11 a.m. service. He has served First Calvary Baptist for 34 years.
The 3 p.m. guest speaker is Rev. Kenza G. Maxwell, currently on the ministerial staff at New Life Christian Faith Ministries in Morven.
Rev. Maxwell holds a bachelor of arts in theology from Trinity Theological Seminary in Ft. Lauderdale, a bachelor of science in business administration from Livingstone and a master’s degree in theology, also from Trinity Theological Seminary.

Special music at First UCC
First United Church of Christ, 207 West Horah St., welcomes Daniel and Michelle Trivette as guest musicians on Sunday at the 11 a.m. service. Michelle is a classical and jazz saxophonist. A former music educator with the Rowan-Salisbury Schools, she is the owner of Grooms by Michelle. Daniel Trivette is director of bands at West Rowan High School. He will play the marimba. Rev. Ken Clapp, Chaplain at Catawba College, is the guest minister.

Faith Temple Triumphant Sunday Afternoon Fellowship
EAST SPENCER — Faith Temple Triumphant Ministries, 900 Pinetree Drive, will have the first of its three Sunday Afternoon Fellowship Services this Sunday at 3 p.m. Pastor Stanley Rice of Yadkin Grove Baptist Church will be the afternoon preacher.
The second and third services are at 3 p.m. on Aug. 12 and Aug. 26.

Homecoming and revival at Fairview Heights
Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, will hold its annual homecoming and revival services beginning Sunday at 11 a.m. with host pastor Rev. Clarence E. Marlin.

Bethel Colony program at Trading Ford Baptist
