SALISBURY — A man was arrested for sex offense charges on Thursday.

Ryan Scott Clawson, 29, of Granite Quarry, was arrested for two charges statutory rape.

He was issued a total secured bond of $350,000. He remains at Rowan County Detention Center.

His court date is scheduled for Monday.

Other Rowan County arrests include:

• Ryan James Schmierer, 27, of Rockwell, was charged for assault on a female and assault on a child on Friday. His court date is set for Sept. 4.

• Levi Paul Tingler, 35, of Salisbury, was charged on Saturday for assault on a female. His court date is set for Aug. 27.

Jackson Knox McClehlan, of Salisbury, was charged Saturday for possession of stolen motor vehicle.
