The state Department of Transportation will close parts of Emanuel Church Road at different times starting Monday.

The closings are necessary to replace a storm drain culvert that crosses under the road.

DOT will close the road Monday through Aug. 24 just north of Old Beatty Ford Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5180 and W 80.3852.

The road will be closed around the clock while the work is underway. 

The detour route will Old Beatty Ford Road, Dale Earnhardt Road and Emanuel Church Road. 

DOT also will close Emanuel Church Road on Aug. 30-31 about a half mile north of Old Beatty Ford Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5220 and W 80.3854. 

The detour route will be Old Beatty Ford Road, Gin Road, Eller Road and Emanuel Church Road. The detour can be found at https://goo.gl/maps/Fh6WW7VZhXS2.

On Aug. 27-29, DOT will close Emanuel Church Road about a half mile north of Old Beatty Ford Road. The GPS coordinates are N 35.5193 and W 80.3851.
