SALISBURY — The Rowan Chamber said Monday its members will receive four new benefits, including employee perks, workers’ compensation, Office Depot discounts and a health care plan.

The Employee Perks Club will give local merchants and national retailers a discount platform to connect them more closely to the employee base in the community, the chamber said. Members can use push notifications to target audiences and employee groups, build business-to-business relationships and be part of the local community.

The platform is $100 per month with the first two months free.

Members also can receive workers’ comp through First Benefits Insurance Mutual. First Benefits insures more than 2,100 businesses and is represented by more than 200 independent insurance agencies in North Carolina.

With the partnership between Office Depot and the chamber, members can can get discounts on office supplies, paper, ink and toner, as well as other perks.

The Rowan Chamber will offer health care through Lifestyle Health Plans that meets all requirements of the Affordable Care Act.

“The Rowan Chamber board of directors consistently strives to add more value to our membership benefit offerings,” said Elaine Spalding, the chamber president. “We are very excited about the new benefits that will save our members money and help them recruit new employees.”
