SALISBURY — Friday is the last day to submit applications for Salisbury Citizens Academy.

The two-month series allows city residents to get a first-hand look at city government.

Classes begin Sept. 6 and continue until graduation Nov. 1. Classes will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, plus one Saturday class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 13.

During the classes, city staff members will offer an interactive, hands-on look at the fire, police, solid waste, and parks and recreation departments and more.

The classes are free and open to ages 16 and older. Priority will be given to residents of Salisbury.

Class sizes are limited to 20 participants.
