West Rowan’s girls soccer team fell 6-0 at fifth-ranked T.C. Roberson in the opening round of the 3A playoffs Wednesday.
West coach Nick Brown praised the effort of senior Autumn Foster in goal against Roberson (21-2-1). Midfielders Nicole Lucente and Allison Baucom and also performed well for the Falcons (10-9).West, which was the No. 5 seed out of the NPC, started five or six freshmen in most of its matches this season.
“I am very pleased with our play this year,” Brown said. “We made huge progress from where we started. We overcame youth and inexperience and key injuries to post a winning record.”
