Davie County’s 4A playoff game at East Forsyth was rained out Friday. It will be played Monday at 6 p.m.
CPC clubs West Forsyth and Mount Tabor also had their first-round games pushed back by wet weather.
n Lake Norman (21-2) rolled to a 10-0 victory against Porter Ridge in the first round of the 3A playoffs behind Scottie Williams.
n NPC No. 6 seed West Iredell was an out away from upsetting South Point in 3A but lost 3-2 on a walkoff, two-run homer.
n Mooresville’s playoff game against Glenn was rained out.
n West Forsyth forfeited two CPC wins and dropped from the league’s No. 1 seed for the playoffs to No. 3.
The Titans forfeited the two games because it inadvertently used a player whose physical had expired. Physicals are required every 365 days.
n Prep tennis
In the 3A championships at Burlington, Lake Norman’s Trey McKee and Andrew McKinnon both won in straight sets to advance to Saturday’s semifinals.
n Intimidators baseball
The Kannapolis Intimidators dropped a 3-2 decision to Lakewood at home Friday.
Kannapolis starter Charlie Leesman retired the first 20 batters he faced and struck out nine but got no-decision.
Kannapolis (17-17) lost in the ninth when Jim Murphy hit a two-run homer.
n College softball
Catawba catcher Ryann Baker (East Rowan) was named to the National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association All-Southeast Region second team.
Baker batted .331 with 12 homers, 12 doubles and 33 RBIs this season. She set school career records for homers (36) and runs scored (133) and finished second all-time with 179 hits.
n College baseball
Jacob Dobbins (North Rowan) had four RBIs, including the game-winning hit for Wilkes Community College in a 12-11 victory against Patrick Henry CC in the Region X tournament on Friday.
n Belmont’s Daniel Wagner (South Rowan) had two hits in a 9-5 loss against Mercer on Thursday.
Wagner is batting .317 with 10 homers and 55 RBIs. He leads the Bruins in RBIs and is 21-for-24 on steal attempts.
n Davidson’s Brett Shore (South) had two hits in a 10-8 loss to Western Carolina on Thursday.South Carolina’s Whit Merrifield (Davie) leads the Gamecocks with 62 runs scored and is batting .339 with 11 homers and 44 RBIs.
n Middle baseball
Southeast Middle won 10-3 against West Rowan.
Bryson Prugh had three hits to lead Southeast (11-1, 9-1). Chance Bowden and Joseph Gray had two hits apiece, and Devon Peacock doubled. Peacock and Greg Tonnessen combined on a three-hitter.
Southeast faces China Grove on Thursday.
n Erwin won 14-3 against Knox. Dalton Moose and Chance Mazza had three hits each for Erwin (6-4). Dalton Bost had two.
Hunter Brooks threw a four-hitter for Erwin,which faces Corriher-Lipe on Thursday.
Jimmy Leone homered for Knox, and Parker Keithan had two hits.
n McCanless golf
Gene Seaford shot a 74 at McCanless on Friday, which was his 78th birthday.
Seaford played from the white tees and made birdies on No. 3 and No. 17 while playing with Jim Fero and Paul Ceremuga.
n West baseball camp
West Rowan baseball coach David Wright is making up a youth baseball camp at Hurley today.
Camp for Tee-ballers and Coach Pitch is from 9-noon. Camp for B Leaguers is from 10-1. Camp for A League players is from 11-2. The cost is $20. Register at Hurley.

Northwest Cabarrus announced the hiring of Kevin Bryant as its new girls basketball coach.
Bryant has previously coached at First Assembly and Cannon School. He has also coached the Northwest golf team.

Northwest Cabarrus’ Caison Roycroft signed with N.C. State.
