SALISBURY — The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education will meet Monday for an all-day retreat.

The meeting, held at Wallace Educational Forum, will be in place of the board’s regular work session.

The board will discuss the district’s new renewal status and begin planning for changes under the new flexibilities that gives the school system.

Topics will include testing, budgeting, school calendar changes, eliminating state final exams and school improvement teams.

The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. at the board room at 500 N. Main St. It is expected to run until 5 p.m.
